So, I still don't understand why you can't freeze it and defrost at your leisure? Order it fresh for closer to the time, no reason for it to come now, and then freeze and thaw the day before?

Because last year they all sold out. I woud have to oder fresh one now

Riverford, but I think you possibly have to be a regular customer (we are). I just checked my diary and the Christmas booking opened on 4th Nov last year, they usually start listing stock a week or two before that. We normally have turkey but they have quite a wide selection.

I don't know, but it's just taken me an embarrassing amount of time to remember duck is a meat (I don't eat it). So was trying to work out what Christmas tradition requires a rubber duck, and how you make it organic (eco plastic alternative maybe?)
