10 year old boys- small gift ideas

I know what my son would like as a main gift for Christmas this year but other than that he really appreciates surprises with his birthday coming up before Christmas as well I'm struggling a little this year.. I'm just looking for a couple of ideas for more unexpected smaller gifts. In the past I've found the things I've bought him that he wasn't expecting (pogo sticks, board games, science kits) have been very well received.

Thank you 🎅

I'd never heard of this but just looked it up - my kids will LOVE it!!

Board game-wise, there's a Sherlock Holmes one that is quite good for ore-teens/young teens, especially if they've read any of the books. Mine also loves Labyrinth (the 3D one looks great) and Carcassonne.

A flint and steel is a great idea, thank you.othrr possibilities:

  • a camp blanket, if he's into Scouts/camping
  • how to draw comics book - we had one that came with templates/stencils for speech bubbles etc
  • Alexa Dot for his room, if that would work
  • cheap fitness/smart watch
  • quite niche but I'm thinking of v-shaped reading pillows for mine for Christmas, like old people 😁

Also I saw some fancy felt tips recommended on here the other day and I can't for the life of me remember what they were called - maybe something like Coco, or Ouco?!

@LaRevolution it's literally the funniest game we've ever had. Handcuffs included (you're supposed to break free without being caught!)

Best game ever!
