My mum has got really into watercolour painting and sketching. I’d love to get her some slightly special materials for Christmas but have no idea where to start.

My artist nephew uses this company all the time. Really good quality products.

So tricky! I've got into watercolour recently but the things I'd want are quite specific ( particular size of paint brush by a particular brand)

Depending on your budget a metallic paint pan set by Derwent or their inktense pencils might be appreciated. Or some postcard size watercolour paper.

I agree with @Toomucho - any art person I know has their favourite brands and materials. I know never to buy anything for my daughter that she hasn't picked out herself!
Perhaps do a bit of sleuthing to see what she uses and ask in a round about way what she'd love if she was to spoil herself?

If she enjoys painting landscapes she might like a little watercolour travel set for sketching outdoors. They vary in price depending on the type of paint.
