Christmas Food to Order Dates - 2023

Apologies if there is already a thread on this - please link to it for me :)

Trying to quickly look online but not getting the dates where I can order my turkey and other Christmas food. If anyone knows the dates, please post below :)

It's usually mid october I think for most places.

I think Morrisons will start either 9th or 16th October based on previous years but I haven't seen anything official yet

Last year I ordered my Christmas food from M&S on the 27th September. I’m keeping an eye on their website from the 25th 👀

I’m waiting for Waitrose slots. On their website you can make lists and click -add all- I do that once the delivery slots are released and then amend after checkout.

I'm waiting for M&S too. We are going away this year and have rented a house for Christmas week. I was planning to collect from the branch local to where we are staying. It's quite exciting but my DH and adult/teen DCs don't understand my joy 😁

The M&S website says it'll be September but hasn't given a specific date. I check every morning so I'll report back when its up. I'm sure I normally get an email about it in advance too.

I'm waiting on tescos and hoping against hope for a Christmas Eve morning slot.
The DC have said they would prefer not to habe anyone round on Christmas Day and for it just to be the 5 of us.
I am very okay with this but feel we should host something festive, So I am planning a buffet brunch/early lunch for Christmas Eve.
Would be fantastic to get everything we need delivered that day.

We live rurally but will be in a town with an M&S on the 23rd. So I 'could' get a bung in the oven Christmas Dinner from there, But is the quality vastly superior to tesco?

The Tesco turkey I got was rotten one year. An M&S garage saved the day, so in that scenario (and everyone other Turkey from M&S I've had over the last 7 years), far far superior.

Just came on to find this out! Excited for my M&S order though tempted to try Booths this year. Tried Morrisons last year which was completely disappointing. Nearly everything I ordered didn't come. Ended up scratting about in Iceland for brussell sprouts and Christmas puddings... what is the point of pre-ordering months in advance if they don't have the food in on the 24th December? gah. Anyway, looking forward to ordering again this year.

Has anyone had any emails from Ocado about when the Christmas delivery slots open for smart pass customers? I'm sure I've normally had an email by now telling me the approximate timings, but I've not received anything yet.

Just ordered my Turkey for collection on Christmas Eve at local M & S. I love using the service as I can walk there and I'm in and out within 10 mins.
There seems more choice of Turkeys this year. I ended up ordering the same as last and prices are the same!

I've just ordered my M&s turkey and ham as like Orange its a handy short walk to collect. Prices same as last year, but I wasn't impressed with any of the desserts this year I haven't ordered half as much as I usually do.

Got my Turkey from M&S.
There's no Goose this year though. Hopefully it'll appear soon 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sainsburys are now open for Food to Order, I've bought my turkey form them for the last 5 years and have been pretty reliable so have ordered that again. Will send DH to collect on 23rd.

I think Ocado are staggering their slots by area. Last week was told I can book my slot this week but am yet to be able to. Fingers crossed for today or tomorrow.

Anyone know when Tesco is out? Really disappointed in M&S's offer, love Sainsbury's but would have to travel to the next town over, so wondering what Tesco will have! Morrisons went out of stock of things I pre ordered about 7 years ago and haven't touched them since- no idea if they've approved although at this point feels a matter of principle!

Both Ocado and M&S orders open for me - though they haven’t sent me an email telling me yet, but I was able to go on and book, because I’m so keen! 😆
