I’ve got my 2 year old:
A HappyLand Cottage
A HappyLand Tree House
A HappyLand Train Set
A Shape Stack Puzzle
A Clock Shape Sorter Toy
A Velcro Ball Dart Elephant Thing (For his stocking)
A Mini Role Play Fast Food Tray (For his stocking)

I’ve got dp:
A Wine Book
Totes Socks
A Build Your Own Kit

I've got my dad:
A Book

I’ve got my mum:
Totes Socks

I’ve got my friend:
Snow Fairy Showel Gel

We’ve got dps mum:
A Mini Yankee Candle
A Ted Baker Bath Fizzers and Soap Tin

We've got dps brother:
A glow stick cap
A Car Book
A 3D Jigsaw Car

Most of these presents are from Facebook Marketplace, eBay, charity shops and things that were on sale so it’s definitely good to start early when you’re on a budget as all of that has come up to £91 which is so much less than it would have been new!!

I've got lots for the kids, picked up plenty on prime day. Lots of Lego, role play and a toy shop.

We stopped buying adults in the family a few years ago when all the kids came along so that keeps things simple. I just get my MIL something from the kids as she doesn't have much family.

usernother · 05/09/2023 11:57

Nothing. Because it's September.

KeepSmiling89 · 05/09/2023 12:00

In the words of Whitney Houston - "I have nothing...nothing....NOTHING!"

Impressed that your buys have only come to £91 though!

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 05/09/2023 13:28

PuttingDownRoots · 05/09/2023 13:32

Lalanbaba · 05/09/2023 13:49

Dd
Operation game
2 books
Dobble
Lego unicorn
Paint a teapot set
Some watercolours

Dp
Whisky bottle

Not a lot so far

Burgerqueenbee · 05/09/2023 14:43

DH - a film art t-shirt

DD (2yo) - hair clips, alphabet wooden puzzle, small coin purse, heart shaped box for storing hair accessories, folding hairbrush, unicorn bracelets, stickers, mini pencil crayon set

DS (6mo) - festive sleepsuit

Most of DD's are stocking bits as family go over the top so we won't get her much. Probably buy a play doh set and the new Acorn Wood book, and make some little blankets for the various dolls and teddies that get covered with hankies/bibs/glasses cleaning cloths Grin

I also got DD and DS a Christmas jumper each from ebay 2nd hand.

We do secret santa with my DH's siblings and their partners, and children only with my siblings (no kids on DH's side or else we would do that too), but no one will entertain my enquiries about gifts this early Blush

ilovetea14 · 05/09/2023 14:55

My ds 12

Headset stand
Book
Got a canvas made up of a picture he took and loves

Dd 8

I've saved loads starting early.

Mummyme87 · 05/09/2023 16:05

DS9 UCI rainbow cycling socks

thats it.
however tomorrow after the school run I’m nipping to the high street as there’s a shop closing down selling stunt scooters for £16!! So will get that for DS5

Bomba · 05/09/2023 16:08

"Nothing. Because it's September."

And yet here you are on the Christmas boards. Cute 🎄

Clefable · 05/09/2023 16:12

I've got quite a lot. My mum died recently and Christmas was always a big thing for us, so December is going to be very hard. I'm trying to be kind to myself by getting the shopping done early so I don't have to worry about any of it in December and just enjoy what I can with DC. And also to save money as I've managed to get a good few things for super cheap by buying at the right time.

I've probably spent about £150 on stuff for DD1 and DD2 so far, including advent calendars that were half price (last year's I imagine but non-perishable ones so doesn't matter!)

AuntieMarys · 05/09/2023 16:37

A collection of 6 Barbies, loads of clothes/ shoes and Barbie car for £10....bought on local FB group by dh for his 5 year old grandchild.
Bargain.
Just the other one to buy for but that will be a bit more expensive but no more than £40.
Everyone else gets money.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 05/09/2023 16:37

I did my usual overbuying on stockings last year so I've got a few things that I held back. From memory, it's bits like fidget toys, nice pens, little puzzles etc. I also have a big Magic Mixie for my 5yo DD from last year too because I swapped her main gift after a last-minute request!!

The only thing I've bought this year for this year is a pair of Nike tech fleece joggers for my DS(14) to match his hoodie! They were on sale so I took advantage. He has his birthday before Christmas though so they may end up being a birthday present instead.

I have ideas for most people so should be fine.

Hibernatalie · 05/09/2023 20:59

Socks and a mug for DH stocking
Onesie and coat for DH
Playmobil pirate ship, onesie, ninjago Lego set, set of books and Guess Who for DS
Smiggle pencil case, slinky, socks for his stocking
Hungry Hippos, onesie, set of books, Barbie dream campervan for DD
Smiggle pencil case, socks, chatterbox set for DD stocking
Hand fork and hand trowel for my parents
S'mores kits for BiL, SiL, friends, and DSis

Not too much more to get.

Hibernatalie · 05/09/2023 21:00

usernother · 05/09/2023 11:57

Nothing. Because it's September.

Why is there always one? Every time - it's tedious.

Hedjwitch · 05/09/2023 21:04

Havent started yet other than a scented candle for each of the DCs stockings. Thats it
DS wants money so I suppose he's sorted.

dearanon · 05/09/2023 21:04

I've got nearly everything for everyone.

AussieKoala01 · 06/09/2023 00:18

I have a list, so I'll be buying more this month. But so far I have bought for:

Sister
Bluey Earrings (etsy)

DS
Cookeez makery oven playset

Its so nice to be getting started early rather than the late November/ first week of December rush!!

Happy Shopping everyone ☺️

Orange23 · 06/09/2023 09:02

For my nearly 2 year old (turning 2 in Jan):
Socks
Bath book
Dinosaur chocolate coins
2 X Cascade liquid sensory toys
A few christmas books
Playdough
Magic flannel

Family are getting him one big present each so I'm trying to keep the presents from Santa small. He's so young that I reckon it might overwhelm him! I have bought some other things that I've decided could wait until next year when he's nearly 3.

DH:
Cadbury darkmilk hazelnut praline bar
(We also just stick to stocking fillers for each other!)

Annaishere · 06/09/2023 12:16

I’ve got my son 16 an oodie blanket thing, Lush set, a book, posters, nice socks. I’m at a loss now and will probably give him some cash

MercyNursey · 06/09/2023 20:11

I’ve ordered a PS5 for Ds (10) this morning. It’s so much money and I’ve done a shed loads of overtime to pay for it but he’s going to be so, so thrilled! I’ve also got him an airup bottle (thanks to the bargain threads!)

I’m going to get him a new tracksuit and some (cheap) aftershave and a few books, no more than £50 total though but I’ll get them closer to Christmas now

My DP sent me a link to a jumper he liked that was in the sale but I didn’t have the money to buy it and now it’s gone back up to full price 😢 so going to keep my eye out for that!

OldTinHat · 06/09/2023 20:19

All done, wrapped and will be delivered when I (hopefully) visit my family next week!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 06/09/2023 20:22

Plenty of ideas but nothing bought yet.

I’m worried they’ll change their minds or something will happen to elderly relatives so I don’t like to tempt fate by buying early.
