My 7 year old is reptile mad - we are going to gw him a pet geko at some point but as Santa obviously doesn't give animals as presents does anyone have any ideas for reptile themed gifts? It's a bit niche isn't it!

Do you have a local wildlife centre/zoo that offers adoptions?

Am sure you will do your research when it comes to buying one but geckos can live about 15-20 years and will need live insects as food.

Wild Republic do lots of really lovely, realistic looking plush toys, niche creatures, my daughter has a hermit crab! Amazon stocks loads of them.

My DS had a gecko watch made by Timex. Not sure if it’s still available though.
There’s also some lizard robot toys by Robo Alive.

You can make a calendar with photos of the most unique reptiles or the rarest ones, add interesting facts about them etc.
Also think clothing items like tshirts or hoodies with gecko prints!

Could Santa buy him the vivarium set up, then you could go and buy the lizard after Christmas?

My 9yo is obsessed with Snake Discovery on YouTube and they have an online store, US based though so have to factor in shipping. www.snakediscoverystore.com

We've also found a few farm parks/wildlife sites in our general area that have decent reptile collections and do reptile handling sessions so might be worth looking for local places you could get membership/gift vouchers to visit.

Across the midlands she's enjoyed

This -
If you are going to buy him his reptile fairly soon , then gettings its house in order (and if course the No Pets As Presents ) makes sense .
It'll be 'real' for him . And you can choose it after the fuss of Christmas has quietened down.
