I’m in Hertfordshire would travel 1-2 hours for a similar experience, Waddedon has a light trail Christmas market and food. Been two years so fancy a change, any ideas?

Blenheim Palace?

Chatsworth house?

Blenheim Palace is my favourite. For something more local, Wimpole Hall in Royston is good - doesn't have the market but lights are great and some nice touches e.g. Big open fire pits to toast marshmallows on. Few kids rides too. I preferred it to Waddesdon.

Haven't tried Hatfield House but that's another option.

The Festive Food Fayre at Hampton Court Palace is lovely. Lots of stalls selling gifts of all kind..and lots of food 😊

I was going to suggest Blenheim as well

Waddesdon pre Covid was the peak... Proper lunches, some stalls but not too many / no repeats, the house fully dressed up.... My personal faves were the bedroom turned into Narnia (you pushed open coats hung on the doorway to find a wardrobe spilling out snow and a full sized Aslan), and the bathtub turned into the River Thames with Peter Pan etc flying above, all sparkling.

Plus no stupid parking system, plenty of buses, stay all day, and not having to pay for every thing thing as an extra!

Am reading other suggestions with you Smile
