I had the Turtle Doves seconds last year and I was a bit disappointed in them.
They were burgundy a colour I don’t like, had quite a big hole in them and were different sizes.
I think by recycled they mean they chop the arms off old jumpers and sew them up to make hand warmers, mine were very badly sewn hence the difference sizes. I could have bought a jumper from a charity shop and done a better job myself.

Do the Turtle Doves from eBay come in packaging or are they loose gloves?

Mine were just in a postage box.
They also have the label blacked out with a marker so wasn’t any good for a gift.

Nice set of 3 LSA small vases down to £10 on amazon.

vases

Thanks for the vase tip. I have purchased the same ones for £28 before as a gift and they were well received. I’m thinking these with gardening gloves and new pruning shears for gardening Godmother.

This seems like a good deal for a stocking filler 😊

I must admit I was quite impressed with my second hand ones last year. They still have the turtle dove label on them, no marker and the hole was tiny. But I bought them knowing there would be a fault on them somewhere so were for me! I kept an eye on the actual Turtle Doves website for sales and offers to give as gifts.

Love these felt tips!

The pack of 20 pastel is on offer at Asda £3.50, PLUS if you are a new user of their loyalty app and buy anything, they add a free £5 on for your next spend.

Has anyone got a Lakeland code please?

I bought the Maddie Our Generation Doll from an earlier thread but now wondering if the Designafriend clothes from Argos would fit her. They are both 18” dolls so I would think they would buy Maddie is already wrapped up! Does anyone have any experience? Thanks.

Ehunt1 · 30/08/2023 15:28

@HoHoJ0 yes the Designafriend clothes fit Our Generation dolls. Argos has some really good Designafriend offers just now.

Snakes board game only £8.45 on Amazon. It was over £20 when I bought it last Christmas. It’s great fun and easy to play.

I'm hoping for some advice from you wonderful bunch!

My little boy is 5 and hasn't any bath toys, sick of them getting mouldy and to be honest just another thing to have to clean out etc. I've thought about getting some little animals or something as he loves crabs, lobsters etc but can I heck find anything that's just cheap and will do the job.

Does anyone know where I could get them? Just like a bucket of animals or something would be fab!

Picked up a little pack of animals from Poundland yesterday.
Cheap enough to throw out. Duck, chicken, pig, cow, horse and blue sheep! It was £2 or £3 I think.

Thank you @stepfordwifey I'll have a look 🥰

He currently has a few plastic cups, bad parent 😅 and I'm sick of him making potions with my good bubble bath and expensive shampoo 😂

LemonFrosting · 30/08/2023 17:25

I saw nail wraps mentioned on here a few days ago. Has anyone any experience of lily and fox?

Blessedbethefruitz · 30/08/2023 17:26

@LemonFrosting I use lily and fox :) Takes about 2 weeks for delivery

Blessedbethefruitz · 30/08/2023 17:26

@jamrolypolyandcustard You can superglue the holes in standard bath toys (the squirters) to stop them taking in water and going mouldy inside.

You are an absolute genius

Callmesleepy · 30/08/2023 17:42

@WhyDoesItAlways what type of crates did you use? Very tempted to try something similar, a crate carriage per person would be an amazing way to put presents out!

@jamrolypolyandcustard we just use stacking plastic cups with drainage holes. They're £3 from the works and go in the dishwasher. Otherwise maybe crazy soap and some plastic animals from vinted? I regularly put schleich animals in the dishwasher.

Blessedbethefruitz · 30/08/2023 17:48

@jamrolypolyandcustard I have gone through a great many bath toys ;)

Thanks for this - it looks like a similar concept to a game my family already loves called Saboteur (which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a more kid-friendly version), so think it will go down very well! It's up to £9.59 now but still bargainous.

I can't believe I've never thought of it! The amount of toys we've ended up chucking cos they went mouldy inside! 😂
