Any recommendations for must see Christmassy things to do in London with my 13 yo daughter please.

Don't want to spend the whole time shopping as we can do that anytime but really want a Christmassy day out.

All tips welcome!

Stroll round Covent Garden and Harrods? Both will be fully decked out in Christmas stuff. My dd aged 19 absolutely loves wandering round both those places.

Well we love Christmas Carol at the Old Vic . Regular theatre goer here and I do this every Christmas with my family as it makes me smile

And the teens as they were (and twentys now ) still like to go to one of the open air ice rinks. I watch..

Winter Wonderland! Expensive but unforgettable. A real Christmassy atmosphere and exciting vibe neither of you will forget.

Harrods is also within walking distance and is stunning at Christmas.

I was going to say the open air ice skating at Somerset house if they still do that. Even just to walk past and watch for a few minutes is Christmassy.

Ice skating at Somerset House
Covent Garden
Christmas lights - Oxford Street, Regent Street, Carnaby Street, Bond Street
Libertys Christmas Shop to browse the Christmas decorations
Trafalgar Square Christmas tree
Elf the Musical or a pantomime (at the Palladium maybe) or The Nutcracker at The Royal Opera House or the London Coliseum
Harrods Christmas window display and a browse around
Hamleys Christmas window display

Somerset House are doing the skating rink again this year. It is very atmospheric. You could go to Trafalgar Square from there and look at the xmas tree or through Covent Garden and just enjoy the decorations in the market. Maybe take in an afternoon show, pantomime. Christmas lights Oxford and Regent Street. Lots within walking distance of each other. Harrods great but there’s not so much in the area once you’ve done that, apart from shops.
