Wondering which would be better bang for my buck travelling with teens and tweens.
All love Christmas but they're not funfair enthusiasts.

Both events are expensive, but would welcome other alternative recommendations.

Thank you

I didn't rate hyde park so this year we've booked Kew.

Kew without a doubt but book now! Winter wonderland is so overpriced and awful. Kew is beautiful and so much more magical. Also check Chiswick house gardens Xmas lights too. Also lovely!

Kew wins, hands down!

They are totally different so it depends what you want. Winter wonderland is rides, market, grotto style bars and Kew is a walk round lovely twinkly lights with some food and drinks along the way. Tbh your teenagers might enjoy winter wonderland more...if you had younger ones then Kew would be better for them. I adore Kew and actually wouldn't go to winter wonderland if you paid me!! But I'm 35 and hate the sorts of crowds you get at winter wonderland.

Winter Wonderland is tacky & expensive a complete rip off.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/08/2023 14:27

Hated winter wonderland. Haven’t been to Kew.

Blenheim wins if you're willing to drive

Anywhere that isn't Winter Wonderland is better, it's a grimly depressing, expensive and dreary 'fun' experience. Kew is nice, Syon Park usually has something happening, try everything else before Hyde Park.

Having done both I really enjoyed Kew Gardens but I would do it next time before Christmas as we went at the New Year, as that was when we were in London.

I’d choose Kew over Winter Wonderland.

Book soon!! There are several restaurants dotted around and some can be booked ahead.

Winter Wonderland was fun, but it is quite tacky, very busy and totally overpriced. Kew is a lovely event and seems to get better each year.

We went to Hampton court palace for their Christmas markets which were excellent. Borough market also good. Somerset house never fails

Thank you for your guidance.
