Does anyone know when tickets go on sale for this year?
Nothing on the web page or app yet but someone may have insider knowledge or maybe have just gone last year!

If you went last year, how bad was it to queue to see Santa? I understand you can't book that as a specific thing?

To answer my own question in case it helps anyone else. Tickets for this year go on Sale on 2nd Aug!

Is this worth it or just a very expensive day out on top of tickets?

hattie43 · 31/07/2023 08:33

We went once and only once . The hype is far better than the reality imo

It’s rubbish - don’t waste your money!

Have booked tickets for the day and time we wanted today via early access.

Not an extortionate price so if its rubbish we dont have to stay long!

Planning an overnight in London to tie this in and possible football game!

I really enjoyed it when i went & came home feeling (even more) Christmassy. I always say I want to go back but the expense getting to and from London puts me off. Have a great time 🎅🏼

Don’t listen to the naysayers it’s great fun, enjoy! We didn’t see Santa so can’t advise on that, but enjoyed going on a few rides, having some sausages, mulled wine and hot chocolate

Octaviathethird · 02/08/2023 01:14

We went last year, the queue for Santa was about 45 mins, my DD only spent 2 minutes with Santa and the gift was a sheet of stickers. Everything was expensive and the toilets were grim but we enjoyed it mostly. Worth going once.

I really enjoy it but it's much better earlier in the season when it's quieter. If you have pre-school aged kids go on a weekday afternoon in early December and the queues are fine.

Not done Santa but the magical ice kingdom is great.

We went for the first time last December. It was much more fun than I expected.

We got there at 2pm and left by 5:30pm. The circus was fun. Also it was cheaper to buy the bundles of tokens online, rather than pay on the day.

We didn’t go on the big fairground rides like the sky swingers, as there was an “incident” a day or so before our visit that made me question the safety.

We’ll probably give it a miss this year and go ago in future.

I've not been for years , but we went three times (skipping a year in between)
It was free to get in , you could wander round and buy tickets at the booths (non refundable) toilets were clean and plentiful . £10 gave us 2xDC and 1xadult on a ride
Second time there was a snowstorm , lots of the rides were shut , we'd pre-booked the Wheel but you couldn't see anything as the plastic windows ran with condensation.
Third and final time - prices had hiked up , it was muddy , everyone seemed to have a dog with them or a buggy so moving about was slow .

DC went on 2 rides , the queues were so bad .

I think it's got Bigger but not Better sadly . This was way before Covid
