Fun ways to gift Aladdin theatre tickets to family

I've bought 4 tickets to the Aladdin musical in January 2024 which I intend to gift as Christmas presents to DS who will be nearly 6 and to my DPs. This will be the first time I've gifted DS an experience and he will have nearly a month to wait to go to watch it so I'm trying to think of a cute or fun way to gift the tickets. Whilst I will be buying DS actual Christmas presents too I probably will only gift DPs some consumables or something like that, because the tickets used up quite a bit of the budget for their gifts.

I have spotted on vinted a few people are selling the plush bears dressed as the genie which is merchandise from the show from a previous tour.

I could buy 1 a bear and put it in a gift bag holding an envelope with the tickets. I might not have the tickets themselves by the then but I could print off something that looked ticket like. This also has the bonus of DS going already with some merchandise which isn't ££££ as I will have bought it second hand.

My other thought was cryptically gifting everyone a random Aladdin themed gift such as a small toy character and then later on revealing that we have tickets to watch the musical. Although I think DM possibly will cotton on to this because I bet she will spot Aladdin in the what's on guide for the theatre at some point before Christmas. Oh god, I've just thought she's probably going to suggest we get tickets and I'm going to have to believably say no I don't think we should ConfusedGrin

Admittedly I'm not very creative so that probably isn't the most fun way I could gift these tickets. Has anyone gifted tickets in a fun way before that could share what they did? Or any ideas for Aladdin tickets gratefully received!

Last year I gifted concert tickets, I cut up bits of paper and wrote letters on them like scrabble tiles and put them in little organza bags for each child. The tile spelt out key lyrics of the artists songs that my DDs would know. I draw on a4 paper like hangman so they knew how many letters were in each word. You could do something similar and make if a game for your DPs & DS to figure out.

How about buy a genie type lamp and have the details on a piece of paper made to look like a scroll and pop inside the lamp. We're gifting harry potter uk tickets for dgd, dd and Sil for christmas this year. I've got a harry potter trunk which I'll be placing hp matching family pjs (asda sale) in along with a letter, which a friend has kindly offered to make look authentic with details of the trio.

When I've bought show tickets for my Neice I buy or make a card (you'll be able to make one on Moonpig that is Aladdin themed I would expect) that reads something along the lines of..

Dear Niece

On 5th January 2024 we will be going to London where we will visit the theatre and watch the show Aladdin!
Happy Christmas!

Lots of love from Auntie Staringdog xx

Then I put the card inside a gift box and cover it in shredded tissues and sweets and wrap it up so that it is a gift to unwrap and give.
