Hi all. I'm trying to be organised and get some stocking fillers for my 14 year old he loves gaming, playing Minecraft and also bouldering. Not a big football or sport fan but loves reading. I struggled a bit getting hots for him. Though I would ask you resourceful lot. I love this thread and have got some great info on here before 😊

Last year DS1 was 14 and he got:

A nice comb
Gold chocolate coins (all DC always have these)
Japanese whistling candy
Tigi hair wax
Tigi hair gel
Hugo Boss shower gel
Wind up toy (again, family tradition for all DC)
Rubik's cube Christmas tree
Tweezers and clippers set.

I know that sounds a little expensive, but I follow the bargain threads, and other bargain pages, and spend £20-£25 per person (DH and DC). DH is always v pleased with his and "my goodness, you shouldn't spend so much!" And inwardly I smug grin that I haven't.

Our stockings are what we open first thing before breakfast, and more like little token items, these are from Father Christmas, then we do bigger presents later, which DC know are from Mum and Dad.

A book
hair care stuff
smellies
chocolate and sweets
A gadget (like pen with tools from gadget shop type thing)

I would take in mind that at his age his interests could change over night so try to buy things which will accommodate that.

Mine likes Pringles, socks and weird flavour kitkats.

Amazon has some cool things if you search for 'world's smallest' - there are teeny yo-yos, magic 8 balls, and Etch-a-sketches.

This is brilliant. I've just purchased now 15yr old DS a tiny violin for his stocking.

Perfect for such occasions as:

"No, you may not have your phone until you've tidied your room"
"Whaaaaaaat?! This is so unfair"
"Indeed. Here is the world's smallest violin to play your sorrows away."

LuckOfTheDrawer · 04/07/2023 19:36

🤣 I need one of those too InceyWinceySpidy!

Some other ideas:
Duncan Shotton - 3x rainbow pencils - the pencil shavings look like little rainbows 💛
Hooded owls - Rainbow ripple bath rocks
Foundland.com - Japanese spoon whittling kit
Chococo - Capsule of chocolate robots

I don't have a 14 year old but I remember being a 14 year old (just about) and my mum always got me & my brother;

Pringles
Pop tarts
Jelly beans
American sweets (taffy which is now sold in HMV!)
And silly socks

Even now, I long for a little Santa parcel from my mum 😂

I got a led colour change light thing that was sound activated last year that was from a tip off on here. It went down very well.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 08/07/2023 09:37

My DS is 14 and I had a few stocking hits last year.

A small bottle of aftershave went down really well. It was a relatively cheap one from Next called Code Red but he was delighted with it (and has a huge bottle of it now 😆)
Pepsi syrup for the soda stream
Fitness dice
Nice pen set
Highlighters
Slipper socks or thermal socks
Carabiners
Jolly Ranchers (fav sweets)
Marshmallow toasting fork
Things for s'mores (I split these across my three DC's stockings so they could share)
Card game
Book
Choc orange

BreakfastOfWaffles · 08/07/2023 09:44

I love the World's Smallest idea, thank you! Joining the thread and will add once I start shopping.

CornishGem1975 · 30/07/2023 14:23

The World's smallest thing is genius!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 30/07/2023 14:25

Cloning chalk/chalk bag if he's into bouldering.

Climbing branded T shirts - Prana, Patagonia

MissBattleaxe · 30/07/2023 14:31

I bought my 13 yr old a shower puff and some Lynx shower gel and he said it was the best shower he ever had. Total price £1.50. My teens also like branded boxers from TK Maxx like a PP said. The big hit last year was a pack of Cristiano Ronaldo CR7 trunks. One year I bought them both a tub of Ben and Jerry's. I wrote their names on the tubs and told them to look in the freezer. They loved it. Also fluffy socks and new pyjamas or a fluffy throw.
