35 Morning (just). Grey, cold and miserable day here. Matches my mood, at least until I can log off as work is stressing me out.

Stress is mostly specific work stuff - the usual (deadlines too tight, ongoing pressure from higher ups). Not to put a downer on the thread but it's mixed the ongoing family stuff and the result is me feeling overwhelmed and wrung out.

No Christmas spirit here today I'm afraid, but I am plodding on with my Christmas cross stitch.
I'm also drinking a whisky and aiming for an early night.

I have set aside tomorrow to really get going with Christmas stuff. Going to try to do lots of online shopping and also write the Christmas cards.

That is exciting @NoWordForFluffy! Good idea with the overlap, we had about 2 weeks when we moved from rented into a new build and it made it so much easier :)

Our new dishwasher arrived today. DH picked one that connects to the Wi-fi. You can start it remotely, apparently, but I pointed out that you can't load it remotely so I can't see much benefit to that! You can also change the setting to make it finish sooner or be quiet (our downstairs is completely open plan, so that's quite useful!). And I no longer have dirty pots covering every surface in the kitchen while I'm trying to cook so I'll call that a win!

We changed internet providers and the switch over was yesterday. Haven’t had any wifi since. Ffs. We can’t watch tv or anything, not that I really watch tv, I couldn’t do any work either as my SIM card wasn’t working in my laptop.

If I had an extra room I think I'd like a white tree, with multi coloured lights and decorations. My Nan used to have a tiny one in her kitchen, and last year my mum bought one for hers.
Couldn't be the main tree though.

I dropped DH to work this morning as his car is the garage. It was dark when we left and we saw maybe 6 houses with Christmas decs up already. 2 are on the next street, and the house down the road that goes OTT every year have most of their decorations set up in the garden ready. Assume they'll switch on at the end of November like they did last year.

I've realised I have 2 days of leave left so have booked Friday off work (was miraculously meeting free). My 2 biggest deadlines are Thursday so I'm going to collapse in a heap and watch CCFs all day Friday possibly
