To cut a long story short, I do not have any good childhood christmas memories. As as an adult I survived Christmas. When my 2 boys were young, I relished in the magic through their eyes. However, now they are 16 & 18 I am back to struggling with just wanting to run away from it all. When my boys were 3 & 4 we lived in Qatar for a couple of years. They were the best Christmas's I have ever had. No family hassle, no huge expectations to be joyful, shops not full of Christmas, christmas, christmas from October. I want others to enjoy, it just I find it so difficult. If I could afford to go to Dubai or such like for Christmas 2023, I would. However this is out of my budget.
Does anybody have any, less expensive, getaways they could recommend.
