It's DS 12th birthday next week and we're drawing a blank, including him. So hoping you lovely lot can inspire me.

He's in to football, food and his PS5 and that's about it!

This year - fifa 23, hot chocolate station bits and pieces, beanie hat with a light in it, keyboard putty, phone stand, g-shock (?) watch, puma hoodie and theatre tickets

other years - popcorn maker and all the accessories; chocolate fondue and all the chocolate, fruit, marshmallows etc; sushi making kit; huge array of felt pens; aftershave.

DS12 loves his HD projector we got him for Xmas. He can connect his Switch, xbox, phone etc and watch it big on his wall. He's looking forward to using it outside in the summer evenings to watch films too! Highly recommend.

I have 11yo and 14yo DDs. Herd Mentality game has been an absolute winner all round. Also Uno has proved popular and a laugh with all the family inc grandparents.

Beat The Parents - not so good: kid questions too easy, adult questions too hard 😆

Gel blasters with orbies as bullets.
Smores kit
Xbox vouchers

Geppili · 28/12/2022 01:43

And Led strips for room.

SmartWatch · 28/12/2022 03:22

My recent 12y old mainly had stuff for his new room (finally moved out of nursery/smallest bedroom!) - LED light strip, Displate metal poster, light up keyboard and mouse for laptop, FIFA23, Roblox vouchers. For Christmas he loved a World Cup football, Splatoon 3 for switch and an Xbox controller and headphones for his laptop. Oh he also had the new GCHQ puzzle book for kids/teens and that is going down well and getting him off the screens.

Ds 12 - ps5 games, earpods and echo show
Ds10 - laptop and wireless mouse

One of my DS (14) favourite gifts was an omelette maker! I got it for him as a kind of joke as he loves eggs, but it’s really easy to use and produces great omelettes in 5 minutes flat.

Thanks, all really good suggestions. I was reading in the night when I couldn't sleep and ordered quite a bit.

Also got a good list going ready for next year, thank you!

I have a tweenage grandchild who is high functioning autistic and who started senior school last term. We gave them a hover ball. It is techy enough to be cool, and fun to play with for a child who still isn't very grown up. They love it!
