I have a lovely white tablecloth that I use at Christmas. It is covered in red wine and gravy stains.

What is a good way to try and get them out?

Vanish spray on the stains for 5 minutes before washing and then wash with biological powder and a big scoop of Napisan.

Sit it in a bucket of bleach and cold water for 24 hours

Soak in a bowl of warm water + Vanish oxy action powder or similar for 4 hours or so. Wash at 60 deg on a cottons cycle with other whites such as sheets, use bio powder.

Ace bleach (in the blue bottle) is pretty good.

It's very gentle, but test it on an inconspicuous area first..
