Want to go away next Christmas……but where?

Everyone wants to try a Christmas away next year if possible. We have dogs so would likely be limited as to where we could go. If we rent a cottage it’ll still be me cooking albeit in a different oven! Any ideas of somewhere that feels special, takes dogs and where teenagers and oldies alike are catered for? Nice walks, lovely food and comfy (slight touch of luxury wouldn’t go amiss!).

Aviemoor, Scotland. It's like going to Switzerland but cheaper. (Ish)

Lord me too.

I am trying to persuade DH that we go and rent a cottage in Denmark. Possibly not an option with dogs though!

Go to East Neuk of Fife. I promise you, its stunning, more accessible than west coast, local produce is incredible, beaches, fishing villages and lovely independent shops. Book soon, it's v popular!!

Ooh, I’ll have a look at Aviemoor. Thanks for the suggestion of Denmark, I was watching a travel guide on the tv last month and it looked lovely.

I'm thinking of the Canary Islands for next Christmas but can't bear the thought of coming back to the cold in January.

I agree Baublesandtinsel, alternating sounds brilliant. Part of me would love a hotel but my dogs would probably rule that out. One dog is huge and loves to be the souls chef in my kitchen waiting for any food that can be snaffled. I can’t see a luxury hotel appreciating his culinary talents of making food disappear!
