I've been into town today and had a rummage in boots. Mine was selling the happyland bus for £7, it's £35 at the early learning centre so I've snapped it up. Might be worth a look if you are nearby. They also had large toy doctors cases for £4

Apart from the Clearance shelves, where you can pick up random bargain small items in my local Boots, I’m watching the 50% off areas for when they go down to 70% and, I hope, then 90% off.

@Fuckingfuckssake I’m afraid I don’t have a discount code but you would get 6.8% cashback through topcashback if that helps? If you don’t already use TCB there’s plenty of referral codes on the bargains & referrals board, including my own! Hopefully someone else might have a code though - every little helps!

If you have an Advantage card, Boots has an offer online only today, if you spend £60+.

Between 11am and 1pm it's 15% off everything - code SAVE15
Between 1pm and 5pm it's 10% off everything - code SAVE10
Between 5pm and 11pm it's 5% off everything - code SAVE5

You have to check out by the end of that time for the discount to work.

Apologies - another 'best place' request.

Where's the best place to buy a Switch (the TV one rather than handheld) - I'm absolutely clueless! Ideally with a Mario or Pokémon game.

The Works had loads of CBeebies bits at good prices for anyone buying younger stocking fillers - I got a few travel size board games for £2 each that I've put in the present cupboard.

None of the people I have brought them for will care about the packaging.
My mum will be having a bag of Bon Bon's for her birthday which will actually be a week past it's best before- but she won't care, if she notices she would just be pleased it was saving waste.

the Chocolate Society typically comes in simple packaging, but some of mine has been in the standard packaging instead.

Here’s (part of)my last delivery.

I imagine the longer dated things are less likely to be in the smarter packaging, as if they are noticeably not a perfect shape they are more likely to go straight into a cellophane bag rather than a box. The Christmas truffles in a box are BB a date in May, but probably wouldn’t sell at full price after Christmas.
