Anyone who likes to buy sale items from frugi- I would be a little cautious at the moment. Another company that seem to have overloaded themselves rather. Seems in the middle of big changes including a site move they launched a big sale. Resulting issues with sending parcels out are meaning big delays and computer issues meaning orders are unable to be fully completed and items being refunded without customers knowing until the parcel arrives- frustrating as I have now paid postage for 1 swimsuit which I would never have done had I known the other items weren't actually in stock!

Update to this. I e-mailed and complained that I hadn't been informed of the cancellations resulting in me pay postage on 1 item. They have refunded the postage cost which I appreciate.

sunshineandrain82 · 16/01/2023 13:44

@MerylSqueak it was on very. But I think Amazon had a similar price offer at a similar time.

MerylSqueak · 16/01/2023 16:04

Thank you @sunshineandrain82

Some of us bought the seconds Turtledoves cashmere fingerless gloves on eBay. They now have them on their website, although they cost more. There are other seconds, too, including wrist warmers, gloves with fingers and baby bootees. Postage is £3.

Their non-cashmere fingerless glove seconds are back on Ebay There’s some choice of colour this time, and postage is free.

Yalz · 16/01/2023 17:32

The turtledoves website offers free postage for orders over £50.

Smashed Grapes update! I emailed at the start of Jan about my disabled gift voucher that they sent as an apology for the tasting box that never arrived. They sent a generic, template email today saying all orders have been dispatched bla bla bla, will get back to everyone soon. Didn't actually answer my question and looks like we're just being fobbed off yet again. Surely it can't take 3 weeks to respond to an email personally? Chancers.

On a different note, Boots have 70% off baby (Mothercare) clothing now. Apparently all reduced last Tuesday so very little left. SOB!!

Yeknom · 16/01/2023 21:02

@Newyearnewmeow thankyou I've just ordered a gazillion cards x

Zoflora in M&S.

Christmas bargain prequel 2023 thread 1 - the one with the sales
Yalz · 17/01/2023 19:20

Treat your cat or dog next Christmas with “Gourmet” M&S cat and dog food. There are several varieties in my local M&S at 75% off, with use-by dates into 2025.

They also have Ella’s baby food pouches at 75% off. Although they have long dates they won’t last until Christmas.

M&S have lots of cleaning products and some toiletries at about 75% off including Zoflora, that MN favourite - see previous post. Be careful, though, as some are only 50% off and for others the reduced price only applies to a scent which isn’t the one on the shelf. Look for the red shelf labels.

Allthechocolates · 17/01/2023 20:05

My local coop had all the leftover Christmas stuff 90% off. Champagne truffles £5 down to 50p and those Bailey's leibniz biscuits 50p. Tons of cadburys stuff 30p and lower. Dates well into the summer.

AnotherOne4 · 17/01/2023 20:10

@FetlocksBlowingInTheWind and @Theraffarian I heard back from BuyAGift, they told me to contact the bakery directly (from where I was getting the afternoon tea) which I have done. It's a bit of a pain, as I would have liked it to have been an easy process and not a faff.

Allthechocolates · 17/01/2023 20:17

Is anyone any further forward with the Smashed Grapes voucher? Still no reply to my emails.

BecauseTheOnlyWayIsUp · 17/01/2023 21:06

I found this goo jit zu pack for £10 at Argos which seems like a good deal.

go jit zu

I know kids rave about them. My boys will be 6 and 4, do you think they would be Ok and could be split as stocking fillers (so 2 each)? Bit worried they will look about crap without the jazzy packaging. My kids don't have any of these but I think they would be a good age for them? I like stockings to have some different bits, so toys they haven't asked for.

Are they sticky? Thinking they might stick up the stocking rather!

BecauseTheOnlyWayIsUp · 17/01/2023 21:14

I don't think they are...

I was only going by the description on the box- 1 says gooey and 1 says goopy.

Theraffarian · 17/01/2023 21:23

@AnotherOne4 thanks for the update , will have to get my husband to try and use the one I gave him before sorting out the other people I gave them to . Hopefully they will still work somehow .

BecauseTheOnlyWayIsUp · 17/01/2023 21:25

Might go back over some reviews. I think it's to do with the insides as they come with all sorts of textures and sensory bits.
Thanks !

@Cuwins as I have your attention you kindly sent me in the direction of a book company last year (I name change quite a bit) and I got some great phonics books for my son. They were a small business that had a massive sale on at the time but I want to keep an eye out for more reading/writing bits. Can you remind me of the business please? Thanks 👍

Yes books for bugs. I'm afraid you have just missed the massive sale! And they are having a slight price increase imminently but still good value. If you have Facebook I recommend following on there as she always announces the sales beforehand.

Cuwins · 17/01/2023 21:33

@BecauseTheOnlyWayIsUp
I'm so glad that it was a useful recommendation
