For me, personally, not having to hear/see ‘gift’ used as a verb in every other sentence. Hooray!

OP posts:

That it’s someone else’s turn to host tomorrow. Feels like I spent the whole day in the kitchen.

Fridge full of food, no need to go near a shop for at least 5 days. And ditto to OP - ‘gifting’ should be banned by law.

No need to worry that I've forgotten to do or buy something. I actually stopped worrying about that when the shops shut yesterday but then forgot to boil my Christmas pudding this morning (no microwave) so we didn't have pud till way after dinner. Nobody minded.

I'm not glad it is over because it certainly is not ! I'm having a lovely day today dipping in and out of my fridge !
I might even go for a walk later, just to build my appetite up😃

Sitting in my own chair in a silent house whilst the two dc who live with me have a lie in. Hosted two full days and I'm shattered and have really missed being alone and quiet.

Someone in my immediate circle always dies on the 21st.
Got it over with for another year, and can stop worrying about who it's going to be.

(Apologies if this sounds flip. Every bloody year for the last 15 years someone, or something, has passed on the 21st - it was my very old cat this year - so I tend to be on pins until after Boxing Day waiting to hear...)
