Seeking inspiration for an up and coming 1st birthday. So what presents were the biggest hits with your 1-2 year olds?

Thanks. She has got the pop up people for Xmas and has so far enjoyed taking them out and chewing them so hoping in the next couple of months she will get it more!

DD 16 months absolutely loved her Happyland Cherry lane cottage and her balance board.

My 18month old got a xylophone today which has been the biggest hit (pun intended! Haha!) For her 1st birthday, she loved the play tunnel and wooden walker we got her.

What she loves most of all are books, but we buy those throughout the year.

Thanks Happyland is something I have been considering. Although she won't play with it for a few months, with a birthday so early in the year I'm buying for 18m old her really.

My daughter got a xylophone from grandma for Xmas and I was impressed she got it straight away!
She loves books and will get a couple but does have a massive collection already!

V Tech laptop for my little girl today, she's 14 months

Biggest hit for my 16 month old is the toy hoover... I'm hoping it translates into him being keen on using a real hoover in due course so he can take over that chore!

Also loves any building blocks like Duplo or mega bloks, I don't think you can go wrong with them!

AlwaysFoldingWashing · 25/12/2022 20:45

My 18 month old has really loved a play kitchen, a shopping trolley, a toy hoover, an interactive Bluey and a hey Duggee boat

TheBirdintheCave · 25/12/2022 20:50

Two year old loved his tea set and also loved his turntable for his Brio train track.

His 12 year old brother had one when he was small and had to be pried off this to let the little one play with it! They played together with it for ages.

My 13 month old loved his Duplo and his ocean drum. He also loved his sister's wooden till and weighing scales from Aldi.

booklovingmum · 25/12/2022 20:56

Shopping trolley with food in the only thing he's played with all day

Antsinmypantsneedtodance · 25/12/2022 20:58

2 year olds favourite so far a magna doodle type thing with stamps and a play shop and play food to go in it. We've spent all day buying veg, fruit and cakes.

Geneticsbunny · 25/12/2022 21:15

Wrapping paper and random Christmas decorations!

IDontDrinkTea · 25/12/2022 21:25

My little one is one in 2 weeks and has spent the whole of today playing with her new Happyland toys

Cuwins · 25/12/2022 22:30

Play Kitchen and Happyland were huge hits this time last year with my toddler. She's 3 soon and is now very into role play.

kagerou · 25/12/2022 22:43

17 month olds top gifts today were a big plastic toy dinosaur, a doll and doll stroller, a wooden medical set and some bubbles
