Where to find a stocking holder on xmas eve?!

I'm having a nightmare. It's my daughters first Christmas she understands and I can't find a stocking holder anywhere. Obviously it is too late for internet shopping. I don't want to resort to a nail in the fireplace....not yet anyway.

Even any ideas on how to fashion one out of something else are welcome at the stage.

Ds always left his outside his bedroom door.

I spent the time persuading him he did t want to accidentally wake up as Santa disappears if he's seen 🤣🤣🤗

I find the bedroom door or anywhere near the bedroom very strange. We always hung them by the chimney when I was a child and we do the same here. We don't have stocking holders now so we just lay them at the base of the tree.

Also my children have made it very clear that they do not want Santa or any elves coming into their room. They find it really creepy

Ooh yes stocking at the bottom of bed and poking it with your feet and feeling the crinkling of the presents inside is the best thing. It takes me instantly back to childhood.

You need two identical stockings not a holder.
Pin one up outside bedroom/ mantelpiece .
Fill the other. Full one goes into the end of the bed
Best Christmas magic ever.

I don’t get leaving them downstairs as that means everyone is up. The whole point is a lovely sock of little bits magically appearing whilst you stay warm in bed.
Then you go downstairs to see the what else has been left under the tree.

B&q sells them. The ones you put on the fireplace

Never heard of a stocking holder. The floor is good enough for us.

We used to hang ours on the doorknobs.
