Last minute little gifts

So my colleague has just brought gifts for my kids
Didn't do gifts last year only a card

I was out - thankfully and DP said I was delivering mine tomorrow and Christmas Eve

😥

Anyway - I now need 3 little gifts no more than £5-6 (she's bought sticker books and chocolate coins for mine, I did have a sneaky peek to gauge the level!!)

Any ideas?? They're all girls 11, 9 and 6

The works books and a selection Box?

Atypical13435 · 22/12/2022 23:30

At those ages mine would have liked a little pamper set. Face masks (3 for 2 at superdrug) a bath bomb and some chocolate/sweets.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 22/12/2022 23:33

Yikes!!! As she has gifted chocolate, it's fair to assume her DC are ok with chocolate, I'd just go with selection boxes and have a word about not doing it next year.

Alternatively, an age appropriate Christmas tree decoration each (garden centres near places for a variety that will suit each age group .

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 22/12/2022 23:34

Near??? I wrote 'are good' !

BahHumbug2022 · 22/12/2022 23:48

I was coming on to say garden centre! Lots of little oddities at ours. Those plants that eat insects are fun, nice Christmas decoration, unusual sweets.

Sequin/ crystal art pictures (saw these in b&m)
Rock painting kits (b&m and the works)
Tie dying kit
Colour books (like Harry Potter/magical creatures)
Sewing and knitting sets etc

Just go to the works really they have 3 for £15 on craft kits or just loads of little stationery things

DuckoffXnas · 22/12/2022 23:50

Charity donation on behalf of each DC? Pls don't buy stuff for the sake of it and escalate the problem

NoSquirrels · 22/12/2022 23:51

They also had a little flower press kit, a dress garden and a decorate a bird house kit- all around the £5 mark!

ButtonMoonLoon · 22/12/2022 23:59

CRESS garden I meant!

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 23/12/2022 00:05

If you have a primark near you then go and see if you can grab some but. Took my DDs (5, 8 & 10) in yesterday to get each other little gifts, got some Barbie lipgloss, nail polish in a bauble, zodiac eye mask & roller, snitch socks and snitch notepad they had loads of cheap little gifts things. If not note pads & gel pens are good cheap easy gifts.

onepieceoflollipop · 23/12/2022 00:13

selection box/box of maltesers with a fiver?

ilovesushi · 23/12/2022 00:14

Just leave it. It was lovely of her but you don't have to reciprocate. You could end up doing it every year and you probably have enough presents to buy/ jobs to do already.

somethingdifferenttoday · 23/12/2022 00:15

Bath bomb set from home bargains!

OhIdoLike2bBesideTheSeaside · 23/12/2022 00:40
