How long are you defrosting turkeys for?

Got a frozen turkey today just under 3kg will it be defrosted by Sunday if we get it out freezer tomorrow. Never cooked Xmas day before 🙈

I took mine out at tea time. It's now in the fridge. I will try and get in it in the morning to separate the giblets.

Rule of thumb is 24 hours per 2kg

Mine is 3.8 kg and coming out tomorrow morning as gay should take about 48 hours in the fridge. You can defrost in cold water if it still seems too frozen.

Mine was out yesterday, 8kg so 4 days! Usually get fresh but was worried might not be any about.
DS has just been given a fresh one from his boss 4-5kg. I’m cooking it this afternoon. We love turkey.
