I'm so organised, what have I forgotten?

House cleaned, hoovered (with exception of extension which cats are occupying) and reasonably tidy. Bedding ready for DM staying.

All I need to do are wrap DD's presents, take DM to cemetery, do xmas food shop (have had a list on go for a month, which I've just re-written), have a focused 45min wipe of sinks, toilets, hoover downstairs and the extension on Xmas Eve.

Anything I've possibly forgotten?

Are you going anywhere ? Petrol
Batteries for toys
Other than that looks like you are doing just great!

To chill out?

SparklyAntlers · 22/12/2022 15:25

Make ice? Clean fridge and make space for turkey? Sounds like you're ready to relax and enjoy!

You're doing better than me as I haven't even attempted to clean as I feel poorly 😥

Never thought of petrol - luckily there's a petrol station close to cemetery when I take my DM. Ice cubes in freezer. We only have two meat eaters and there's the usual turkey something or other😅frozen in freezer (which says it's better cooked from frozen so no need to defrost).

Some chilling out would be good - I always find Xmas Day far from it.

Get petrol. Run a bath, light candles and have a glass of wine/Baileys/whatever you prefer

Lelophants · 22/12/2022 19:29

I’d be checking the list. Enough snacks and ncie drinks? Crackers? If you’ve got the presents and food that’s basically it.

Do you need to put out fresh towels or toiletries for guest?

Lelophants · 22/12/2022 19:29

Breakfast sorted?

Raera · 22/12/2022 19:33

Make a timings list working backwards from the time you intend to serve your Christmas meal

And on a more practical note: toilet roll, kitchen roll, tea, coffee, milk, batteries

Have you got enough milk?
