I’ve been with my boyfriend for 6 months and his mum has very graciously invited us over for Christmas and to stay over as they are hours away, they have the space and we can have a drink etc. I have met her briefly one time for 20 minutes.
I’ve bought her a Malfy rosé flavoured gin (is this a nice gin? I have no idea about gins), a large sharing tray of Ferrero rochers, large tray of mixed Lindt chocolates, m&s Belgian truffles and a white company candle.
I won’t be preparing or making any food so felt like I wanted to contribute in some way at least with some chocolates. Is this thoughtful enough? I want to make a good impression and not be a total free loader on Christmas!!
