Not roast too textured? It’s a uniform texture but you have to chew it. If not I have a very easy recipe.

What sorts of things do you like? Are you cooking or want something ready made?

What do you mean by not too textured?

veganonboard.com/easy-nut-roast/#recipe

I’ve been making this for ages. I’m veggie and two relatives are vegan and I’ve tried loads of recipes but this has the best structure when cooked.

I often double it and make a 1 lb loaf and some large muffins of it in silicon muffin cases then freeze one or the other and reheat for Sunday lunches.

It needs chia seeds which you may have in store but if not I'm not sure they’re essential if you don’t, it’s quite wet already.

I skip the fruit as I don’t like fruit in savoury foods.

If you want something ready made, I was in Aldi early and they have some lovely looking individual veggie and vegan pies. If I wasn’t cooking I might have one of those.

As a lifelong veggie I don’t like fake meat texture, it’s too fibrous, but I enjoy textures of nuts, veg, pastry.

Other Christmassy recipes I like are beetroot tarte tartin and Delia’s parsnip roulade but I tend to use the roulade recipe and fill with a very thick sauce made of cheese sauce, leeks, mushrooms and peas.
