Turkey cooked in a slow cooker?

Fed up of dry tasteless Turkey. Wouldn't even bother with it had my suggestion of roast chicken not been met by my family with gasps of horror!

Anyone cooked their Turkey crown in a slow cooker? If so what timings/ recipes have worked well?
TIA

Have you thought about brining your Turkey before roasting! That would increase both flavour and moisture.

I don’t think slow-cooking lean meat is a great idea.

Thanks but my DH has a heart issue so we have to be very careful with salt so not sure brining is something we could do.

I slow cook a 2.1kg whole chicken for at 6 to 8 hours until the legs fall off if that's any help. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm doing one in the slow cooker and one in the oven this year instead of buying a capon.

Never tried Turkey but have had whole chicken done in a slow cooker and found it a bit greasy.
