Turkey crown versus full turkey

I normally buy a turkey crown to serve seven, but the meat can end up being a bit dry no matter how carefully I cook it. So this year I'm thinking about getting a full turkey in the hope the meat might be juicier. Cost-wise it's also a bit cheaper.

What does everyone else prefer?

Because I was so busy with the other food, I just left the crown to do it’s thing. The oven door wasn’t opened until the timer went. It was absolutely PERFECT

I think there might be something in this, we don’t open the door or check it until the actual cook time is up we only remove the foil to brown the top for the last 10 -15 minutes.
And because we cook the turkey first then do all the other stuff whilst turkey is resting, oven door is not being opened to check everything else!

20+ years always a crown, boned, stuffed, rolled and covered in bacon. Tented with foil except last half hour then rest covered to keep warm while pigs in blankets, roast spuds and cauliflower cheese goes in the oven. Never dry. Do you let it rest?
