As a child my mum would take me 'grotto hunting'. Each year before Christmas she'd take me out in the car to have a look at the best lights on the front of people's houses and interactive grottos (some people would turn their whole front garden, driveway, barns into interactive scenes for people to come by).
I've tried to do a bit locally with my children on foot and by car but there's not a huge amount around here, I've moved away from where I grew up.
I wondered if we were able to post about the best ones and if Mumsnet allows it, perhaps where they are (not the exact address but perhaps road or rough area) so if anyone's local they can take their children to go and see them?
