Just found out my 16 year old niece would like a sunset lamp for Christmas.
I'm hoping Mumsnet wisdom can help me choose the right one.
Obviously I never heard of such a thing until tonight. Google revealed it's one of those tiktok crazes and I looked at the options.
I don't want to get a 1 colour only version.
5 in 1 looks like you have to change the filters to get the colour you want (sunset or red sunset or rainbow etc)
16 in 1 appears to have 16 colour choices or rather lighter to darker of 4 colours that adds up to 16. It also doesn't look like it needs filter changes because it is an RGB option so the colours are mixed like on a multi coloured LED strip. It also has 4 settings for steady light, increasing brightness etc. Or at least that's what I understand.
My question is: if she wants sunset or red sunset or any of the 5 options from the 5in1 version, will the 16in1 show the exact same colours or is the 16in1 creating a completely different atmosphere.
