Recommend me a kitchen knife please!

DS (He's an adult!) would like a kitchen knife for Christmas. All purpose chopping knife for onions, peppers, chicken...

I guess I'm prepared to go up to £50. Amazon preferred due to delivery times 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t think brands are important for knives unless you’re a pro chef and quite possibly not even then. What’s important is a nice wide blade and a “full tang” handle that’s securely attached to the blade.

TK Maxx often have great prices on kitchen knives, though as with all their lines it’s a matter of them having something you like at the time you visit.

We've been collecting Robert Welch knives over the years. They're all amazing and going strong. There's various cooks knives and chefs knives which may be what you're after.

If you're buying a good knife also buy a diamond sharpener - a knife is only good as long as it is sharp

i always get worried by reviews claiming the knives are "fake" or rubbish so asked the font of all knowledge instead.
