I am looking for ideas to bring our buffet up to date.
MIL and OH's family are coming over during the week after christmas- for lunch.
OH does the donkey work and buys a huge ham, cooks it over two days- slow cooker then roasting with a mustard and marmalade glaze. It always goes down well, usually serves with pickles, lettuce and minted new potatoes.
We are in our 60s, and don't eat out much, I know " fashionable" cuisine has changed, and I would like to up our game a little.
So there will be 10 of us, no dietary restrictions, I would like to include a few more dishes- will be served cold- the only warm item are the potatoes.
Some form of avocado and pea shoots came to mind, maybe an orzo salad cheese board?
Any ideas would be welcome the group enjoys strong flavours and seafood.
