Spending Christmas with his parents and family for the first time!

I’ve been seeing someone for 6 months and his mum had very graciously invited us to have Christmas at her house.

What do I bring? What’s expected of me? How do I make a good impression?

If in doubt go for a classic gift, big bunch of flowers, wine or chocolates.

Really your boyfriend should be able to tell you what his family traditions are eg pyjamas all round, dressed to the nines or something inbetween.

Just be a normal person and take an interest in others you don't need to do anything out of the ordinary.

Take chocs, flowers or a bottle if you know they drink. Offer to help. Be yourself, join in. Are you taking gifts for them - a box of something they can all share? Try and get as much info from your boyfriend as you can. My family tradition was eat at 2, presents in the morning. DHs family was dinner at 4, presents after, so it was a shock.
