Can anyone tell me from experience roughly how long it takes to assemble one of these bad boys?! I’m trying to plot how many hours I need to set aside in case it may need to be done in advance..! 🥴

I didn’t think it was too bad at all. Less than an hour. It is well made and fits together pretty easily. You have to stick some stickers on which is probably the fiddliest bit.

Happyelfjokeday · 17/12/2022 16:20

I had heard it was awful, but agree, no more than an hour

Parmavi0lets · 17/12/2022 16:29

I have no idea but I'm just popping by to say that I got a Sindy house one Christmas (WITH A LIFT) and at age 46 it is still hands down the best present I ever got.

Lucky DC 🤩

Good luck with the build, OP.

Bikeybikeface · 17/12/2022 16:32

@Parmavi0lets Did it have a rooftop terrace too? I had one with a lift.

Yes it did! 😁

idontevenknowanyonecalledblurb · 17/12/2022 16:39

I did it in a an hour on Christmas Eve it wasn't that bad

cliffdiver · 17/12/2022 16:43

About an hour.

But it is noisy (lots of clicking bits into place) so consider building it when kids are out the house.

I built it using a YouTube tutorial rather than the manual.

FlowerTink · 17/12/2022 17:19

We did it Christmas Eve, took about an hour, I found the stickers were the trickiest bit!

34thStreet · 17/12/2022 19:47

Oh thanks for these lovely replies, especially you @Parmavi0lets 😁

An hour would be great - I’d be well happy with that! 🤞🏻😅 I’m usually okay with fiddly stickers, the build itself was worrying me, so this is very encouraging..!

Yeah, we were a bit worried when we opened the box, but it did go together very well & quite easily.
made a brilliant present!

Reindear · 17/12/2022 19:59

We did it last Xmas eve- an hour to build and then another hour for the bloody stickers 😂
it was easier than the year before when we were outside at 1am trying to build a bloody trampoline 😆

TheGriffle · 17/12/2022 20:00

Ooh OP I’m glad you posted this. I have a dreamhouse sat in my garage for my 5 year old and was imagining Dh spending hours building it on Christmas Day!

Christmasinbed · 17/12/2022 21:07

You've reminded me of the year I took the Playmobil Victorian house next door and sat on their lounge floor all afternoon building the bloody thing so I could take it home & wrap it up pre-built..😂

flowerycurtain · 17/12/2022 21:24

The actual build - about an hour. Dead easy.

The next 5 years of avoiding the great big pink bloody monstrosity or finding somewhere it can go, or dusting the stupid dust attracting thing - never ending.

My dd however adores it. Hope yours does too.

opalescent · 17/12/2022 21:27

We have one for dd- can't decide whether to pre-assemble or give it to her in the box and build on Christmas Day?

Fireweeds · 18/12/2022 07:00

Pre assemble definitely, makes it much more impressive!
