How about a gaming lightbox sign? My DCs have a couple which plug in with USBs, or can use batteries. They are around the £10-15 mark and have been popular presents

The little building kits seem to go down well in my family. Like Lego type kits, something similar. Just something fun to do for an hour.

£10 is quite hard. You wouldn't be able to get something like a branded hat for that price.

Oodies tend to go down well too but you're looking at at least £16 for a high street one.
