Looking for some advice . My toddler GS is absurdly obsessed with my nativity set and the figures so I was thinking he could be about the right age for a starter dolls house type toy. From looking I've found the 3 mentioned in the title but I've no idea which one would be best for him? Have I missed any brands?

He's two in a month and loves posing the figures and moving them around etc. any recommendations?

Happyland!

Love that stuff. So varied and we got so much play out of it when ds was a toddler.

Fisher Price Little People, then playmobil when he's a bit older.

There is Playmo 123 which is simpler in design but integrates with Playmo. Lego also do Duplo playsets. Little People is the most age appropriate of the ones you mention, the others are fiddly, less robust and have small parts for toddlers.

Happyland nativity.
ours comes out every year and the dgc are 12,10 and 6
we also have the Christmas tree set which makes some interesting nativity scenes!

The Playmobil 123 house is brilliant. I would add the garage and playpark with it too. Hours of play

Sylvanian is lovely but expensive and the accessories are v tiny and too fiddly for a child that young. My 10 yo daughter still loves it and has populated her dolls house with many different families but for a child as young as 2/3 I'd go with Playmobil happyland too.

I third happyland! Playmobil 123 would be a good option too but Happyland beats them all!

I would probably go for Happyland at that age. It's an Early Learning Centre brand which is sold within The Entertainer toy shops these days.
Although sets do pop up in other places from time to time (like tkmaxx).

As others have said, I wouldn't buy ordinary Playmobil, or Sylvanians, for a 2 year old as they are too fiddly and too many small pieces.
I would buy Playmobil 123, which is aimed at littlies, and can integrate with ordinary Playmobil later. I love Playmobil!
I have no experience of Happy Families, but have heard others speak very favourably about it.

I vote happyland too. Feels nice to handle and has the bonus of being able to go in the bath / playdoh or whatever and can be cleaned if drawn on or covered in food when "being fed". Playmobil comes apart, sylvanians can't be cleaned.

If he’s into any particular show like bing, peppa or bluey - they have houses and sets to play with.

Otherwise duplo, or playmobil123 (but watch it as a lot of playmobil is actually 4+).

Playmobil 123! But then, I am a massive Playmobil fan. Xmas Smile
