I'm so very stuck over my family members! I have no time, no ideas and the bloody postal service isn't going to helping this year. I could really use some suggestions!

My mum wants 'A Surprise' (so nothing obvious/generic). This is the toughest challenge! She likes classical German literature, languages generally, reading generally, walking the dog... She has ME and can't do anything fun so no 'experience days' or anything, and she doesn't eat. Budget variable, as it could be a few smaller things or one big thing up to £100.

My brother has asked for a can crusher, which I've bought, but it's far too painfully boring to just give him that. Anything fun or interesting that's not just clutter I can add? £15-20ish budget. He's just getting into going green and saving the planet. The trouble is the only things I can think of along these lines (reusable kitchen roll/refillable soap dispenser/silicone lids for bowls of leftovers) are as bloody boring as the can crusher!

My sister is really into pretty clutter. She already has stacks of it all over the place, but as she asked for some patterned glass tumblers I went ahead and got them even though they're just yet more 'shiny stuff'. Again I'd like to get her something else as just what you've asked for is a bit dull. Anyway, I'd like to keep her top-up present practical as she really doesn't need any more detritus! £15-20 for her too.

If you can help me come up with stuff it'd be much appreciated!!

Your Mum, dog walking jumper, waterproof, wellys and big socks, book, subscription to duolingo

Brother, beer / Lagar anything that comes in a can make use of the can crusher
