Your son at 8 gets a Chanel lipstick and popping candy? Any chance I could convince you to do an extra stocking for me? Xmas Smile

Idilliedanddallied · 15/12/2022 15:04

@UndertheStares I know! I quite fancy it myself 😂

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 15/12/2022 15:17

Only dh this year, so sundry edibles - chocolate, nuts, fudge etc. - and socks.

Ds17 and ds13 (both variations on the same theme)
Socks
A book
Chocolate
Other random food items (snack cheese/biscoff dippers/beef jerky
Shoe wipes / crep protect spray

Have just realised writing this I have a couple of extra things for ds13 on top of what ds17 has so might have to readjust. I always do this.

lightisnotwhite · 15/12/2022 22:57

DH says he doesn’t want anything sweet in his stocking as it’s his nemesis. He’s getting marmite peanuts ( loves both) and pork scratchings . A can of Advocat a book, second hand CD’s for his van, his rugby mascot and a deodorant (posh one).

DS (18) has sweets, chocolates, aftershave sample set, deodorant ,ww2 transfer scene (Lego was too expensive and we used to enjoy making putting the transfers on to make comedy scenes), a game to play at Christmas and merino wool socks.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 16/12/2022 06:54

DD (17)
lush bath bomb
lush bubble bar
lush scented candle
Nike socks
Lindt chocolate reindeer
face packs
bubble bath
vaseline lip set
fake tan lotion and mitt

RhubarbFairy · 16/12/2022 12:22

Following with interest as I'm stumped this year and want to avoid buying for the sake of buying.

So far I have slippers for DS2 (9) so he'll stop stealing mine, and a pack of Christmas themed socks for DS1 (11).

Going to get DS1 some Lebkuchen as it's palm oil free (and that's his thing at the moment) and a big bag of StarMix.

DS2 is less concerned about the rainforest so will have a selection box plus a bag of sweets.

Love the idea of the tubes of Pringles.
DS2 is easy to buy for. DS1 is all about football and gaming at the moment (and orangutans) so he's more of a dilemma.

flying saucer sweets
crisps, prob Pringle sour cream ones

They might also get a dibdab each plus anything else I see they might like. I like to find things like giant candy canes that poke out of the top, I, err, sorry Santa, doesn't wrap it all 😉 I try and get things they love and the tree decoration started when they turned 21, so they have a small collection to start using on their own trees when they leave home. I try and find things that they like or have an interest in. It's quite tricky finding treats when there are dairy and chocolate allergies in the mix though.

Do you mind telling me where are you getting the lychee drink from? It's right up my DSIS's Street.....

Minniebojangles · 16/12/2022 19:57

I live by myself so I buy bits throughout the year for my stocking. Usually stuff like mascara, lipgloss, whipped soap, candles, quirky game or puzzle.. And then the usuals, satsuma, tube of smarties, dreamies( for the cat obvs) and latterly a blueberry muffin from m&s. A little fun start before I join the family
