Every single year I get the twitch. Every year I spend unnecessary money because of it.
This year we started shopping in September. We have everything now bought, booked or reserved. We have filled the stockings. We have every gift we planned to buy. All food is sorted. Actually I still need to buy a nice pork pie, and some random tiny bits of make up for a teenager. But seriously that is it. It's a single trip to town.
And I'm twitching at every advert I see. Every 'last chance to order' email. It's unbearable and there's still a fortnight to go. This is the earliest I've ever been sorted and I'm worried it's going to drive me round the bend.

Enjoy being so organised and don’t get drawn into compulsive shopping for the sake of it. Remember the money you don’t spend on crap will come in helpful in the coming months for fuel bills and the High St is hell right now.

I browse online and think "I'll pick that up in Lakeland/M&S/John Lewis/Superdrug" then when I get to the shop, finding it or the queues put me off .

I love the idea of Christmas Shopping (and Twitch Shopping in particular ) but the reality disappoints .

DS is doing University work over the holidays so we won't see much of him . And I need to buy a pair of jeans for DD (online as they didn't have her size instore)

I've told them all (DH/DD/DS) to give me meal ideas so I can get the food shop , no lipcurl I don't want that when they ask "Whats for dinner" ?

I might save a chunk of my Nectar Points for January , got most of my Christmas food , just the last minute fresh things to go .
