How do you explain different Santas to DC?

DS is almost 4yo and very much aware and excited about Christmas this year. But he keeps asking/commenting about "other Santa/different Santa" because in different Christmas films he knows it's different Santa's. How do you explain this to him while keeping the magic of Christmas?

Just explain that the films are a story using the idea of Santa - they aren't the real one, it's someone pretending to be santa

Any 'santas' in a film or that they go to see etc. are just people dressed up.

Like @123ZYX said, and if he questions the different Santa’s in places you visit I’ve always said they are representatives of Santa because no one sees the real Santas as he’s magical.

Thats just people helping out Santa as the real one is too busy!

Not the real Santa. They're actors playing him because the real Santa is too busy overseeing the elves and checking the good list at his home. That's the same story we stick to with all the different Santas in the malls and Garden Centres. They're just his helpers. This helps to avoid any trips to go see him there because we've told them they're very lucky to be able to go see the real one at his real house in Lapland U.K.

In films it is just an actor playing Santa, not the real Santa.

Santa can't be everywhere he hires staff
