Hello, having a panicky Christmas thanks to renovation hell but finally down to last present and can't think of anything!

It's for my sister, late 30s, dog mad and does a lot of walking/camping with the dogs, doesn't really have other hobbies except reading (have already got her a couple of books) and reality tv, likes most teal things and flamingo patterns, "natural" decor (but do already have a driftwood vase), isn't into pampering/toiletries, is getting into gardening but has most of the basics

Budget is about £30 but could go a bit more for something very unusual/nice

Does anyone have any ideas please???

Nice pair of gloves?

MakemineaGandT · 11/12/2022 23:39

Nice leather pair here for £28

I love these flowers. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1035464112/handmade-wire-flower-table-decorations

I have bought my friend in Australia a wire vase www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1224656309/iron-line-vase-wire-vase-minimalist-vase

There are lots of flamingo-themed picnic things - cups, hampers, mats - might be a good fit with the camping and dog-walking. The Range stock them and of course there are lots on Amazon.

Oooh that could be an idea, thank you!

Lots of pretty flamingo 🦩 things here: www.saramiller.london/collections/the-flamingo-collection/

A beautiful print for her wall. Or donate to a charity that would mean something to her - a wildlife one? Something close to her heart anyway.

Mudbuster dog paw cleaner:
www.mountaindog.uk/products/dexas-mudbuster-paw-cleaner?variant=39637896429681

Practical, gets off way more mud than a quick wipe down and saves inside of tent getting filthy.

I only have experience with medium size, so can't vouch for the other sizes.

Zitouna · 12/12/2022 09:09

If she’s getting into gardening, then Sarah Raven vouchers, which is like a gateway drug to gardening addiction - you can say it’s to buy the plants to go in the vase! Or they have some lovely sets if you want to choose things yourself

Jaybird43 · 12/12/2022 09:11

Something she can use for her dogs? Like a nice voucher for a pet retailer she likes? Something for her to wear on the dog walks? I love receiving vouchers which I know can be controversial!

I got this for a dog obsessed female relative, it's such beautiful packaging so it looks more exciting than it really is

I meant to add, although it looks like toiletries they are for the dog and human!

emmathedilemma · 12/12/2022 10:10

A decent headtorch for camping / dog walking. Go for one that's USB rechargeable.

Stompythedinosaur · 12/12/2022 10:27

This pack away grill is a very good bit of camping kit.

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 12/12/2022 10:31

Lots of options in this range - bags/eyemasks really nice quality too.

That's amazing! Do you think a jack russell and a lab could share the same size?! (Obviously big enough for the lab, but do you think it'd do small paws?)

Thank you, but she already has walking boots - unless these are very different from those? (cat person who avoids the great outdoors here, so a little bit clueless!)

OP posts:
HouseIsOnFire · 12/12/2022 11:04

@Zitouna I do like the idea of fuelling a gardening addiction, surely this would make future years much easier?!

@emmathedilemma She already has one :( thank you!

@Overoptimistix @Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday Thank you, they're really pretty bits.

@GoldenCupidon I'd love to but she gets a lot of the photos from her walks made into canvasses and is running out of space - I think I wouildn't be able to get anything as perfect as those for her!

@Stompythedinosaur (love the name!) that is really cool, but have bought a portable firepit as a stocking filler - can you have too much fire?? Portable firepit if good for anyone else: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B092M88F1W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@mongoosebaby That is tempting but she wouldn't use the hand cream or human bits... maybe I can hunt down just the dog bits!

Thank you everyone, sorry I feel like I'm being super awkward when these are all brilliant suggestions!

GoldenCupidon · 12/12/2022 12:24

I think you’ve got her plenty of things already then! Big box of her fave food and you’re done

TeaAndStrumpets · 12/12/2022 12:29

I got my DD a brolly with a built in torch for dogwalking on dark wet nights. Plenty on Amazon.
