I have too many favourites!

I love my Jack bauble and the spun glass ones just feel so sophisticated and beautiful. I love them. I have pink, clear and yellow and they are gorgeous.

Very sentimental to me as it was our first and only Christmas. We were married for 10 months when he died.

Last years bauble of my little boys hand and footprint for his first Christmas 🥰 I'm planning to do one every year (well I'm going to let him design his own when he can so probably just scribbles next year 🤷‍♀️😅)
His hand and footprints this year are so much bigger so would only fit on the brown kraft paper type baubles from hobbycraft so it doesn't look as good but they'll be great keepsakes through the years 🤗❤

Mine is a cardboard one. I love it and it makes me feel very Christmassy when I unpack it every year. Great idea for a thread.

Lovely Idea for a thread.

This robin ornament isn't technically a bauble, but it's over 60 years old, and I remember it on our tree from being a little girl.

Where are the spun glass ones from?

TheGriffle · 14/12/2022 09:25

@tothelefttotheleft Brigg garden centre over the last couple of years I think.

This little pinecone person is my favourite decoration, we have a couple, they've been on the family Christmas tree as long as I can remember and they've been on my tree for the past 3 years 😊 lovely idea for a thread!

That's amazing. I agree that she could sell them.

MiL gave us a some very old, incredibly thin glass baubles - including a pair of fish - handed down from older generations of DH's family. I was disappointed that a couple were slightly broken, until MiL pointed out that the holes were probably caused by burning candles on FiL's grandmother's Christmas tree! So now I also treasure the holes as part of the ornament's history.

Here's one of mine, after DF passed away I brought several of his tree ornaments home with me following the clear-out of his home and this is one of them. I also have a couple of those foil ceiling decorations of DF's but not put them up yet!

The top one is from (I think) the 1960s and was my grandma’s.

The middle one is from the 1980s when I was a child in Germany.

The bottom one is from Paperchase and I got it because my daughter loves croissants.
