Any suggestions? For reference, The Grinch was too scary!

The Star is on Amazon Prime, it's a nice one.

Arthur Christmas. I love it too.

ImpYCelynAndTheIvy · 11/12/2022 15:21

Oh yes, love Arthur Christmas.
Was it the Jim Carey Grinch or the new animated one with Benedict Cumberbatch? The second one would be much less scary.
Mine love/d the various Mickey’s Christmas type things from Disney.

Its a short film but The Snowy Day on Prime is lovely

BebbanburgIsMine · 11/12/2022 15:34

Annabelle's Wish

It's a short film, about 55 minutes.

It's a tradition to watch it every Christmas Eve, even though DD2 is an adult (she lives with me)

It's a lovely film.

APurpleSquirrel · 11/12/2022 15:38

The Muppets Christmas carol
Prep & Landing - there are 3 short films on Disney
Ice Age Christmas

IsabelaYourBoyfriendsHere · 11/12/2022 15:43

The new Scrooge film on Netflix, its absolutely awful but DD1(5) and DD2 (nearly 3) are enthralled. 😂

They've also so far enjoyed Mickeys Once Upon A Christmas, Mickeys Twice Upon A Christmas, Mickey Saves Christmas, Klaus and Muppets Christmas Carol.

Tayegete · 11/12/2022 15:45

Elf, Arthur Christmas and Christmas Chronicle are all lovely and still watched every year even though dc are teens now.

Thanks everyone! We went with The Star and is was very good. The big Roman guard with the dogs was a bit scary but watchable.

The one worn Jim Carey was a bit too much for her. She burst into tears and asked me to switch it off saying it was unsuitable for her!

Polar Express? Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer is on YouTube (the stop motion one from the 60s). Charlie Brown Christmas, I think on Amazon Prime. I love those oldies!

mondaytosunday · 11/12/2022 18:43

Oh The Christmas Chronicles! On Netflix. Love that one too!

BitterGreen · 11/12/2022 18:45

Polar Express is lovely
