Can you recommend some golf gloves please?

I’m going to preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing about golf

But I’m looking to buy some golf gloves as a gift. I thought this would be an easy task and have quickly become confused by how much choice there is. I also don’t understand why some gloves are sold individually so you only get one singular glove. And even more confusingly, why sometimes they’re sold in packs of three?!

It is a gift for a man. I don’t really have a budget, I want him to have nice ones.

Any recommendations gratefully received

My DH is a golfer. Does he wear a left hand glove or a right hand glove? If they’re right handed, they would normally wear a left handed glove and vice versa. Unless they’re winter gloves (which are quite good) which come in left and right handed. Packs of three are a deal because they can go through them quite quickly.

Brands are often a matter of personal choice but Titleist, Footjoy and Calloway are good. Vice golf have also got some good reviews. What make is his bag and clubs? He’ll probably like those brands for gloves.

@Nagado thank you for answering. He’s left handed, and I think his bag is a Taylor made one. He has an interesting theory about clubs though - he buys awful rubbishy old ones from charity shops to play with. Because he theorises that if he learns to play with rubbish clubs, when it’s an important game and he uses the good clubs he owns, his technique will be ‘honed’ from using the bad ones… No I don’t understand his theory either 😂

I’d say a golf glove (singular as you usually only wear one) is quite a personal preference but maybe look at buying some golf cart mitts (if he usually uses a cart) to keep his hands toasty between shots! if you’re looking for a big present then a voucher to spend at a club fitting is always well received!

Hello, the best ones are FootJoy apparently. Regarding the size of packs it's just economics so it's a pack of 3 of exactly the same glove.
