I had ordered a turkey crown with Sainsburys but have now had an e mail to say the following :
*Hi Customer,
We are writing to you to let you know about an update to product: 4. British free range bronze turkey crown 1.5-1.99kg you have ordered through our Christmas Food to order website.
To help customers find what they need this Christmas, the UK government has allowed all supermarkets to stock turkeys that may have been frozen and defrosted. This may be the case for product: 4. British free range bronze turkey crown 1.5-1.99kg which you have added to your basket.
If a turkey has been frozen and defrosted it will not affect the quality or safety of the product. It will be stated on the label and will still be suitable for freezing at home*
Am I basically just as well to go buy a frozen turkey at a cheaper price and stick it in my freezer as that is what they are doing?
