I was looking at beat the parents but it seems a bit boring.

Kids are 10 and 12 but with very short attention spans.

Thanks.

Muffin Time

Quirk

happystory · 09/12/2022 07:03

Rapidough is fab, have played with all ages. Modelling playdough doesn't sound fun but really is!

Hermanfromguesswho · 09/12/2022 07:07

Poetry for Neanderthals is brilliant and hilarious

Tirrrrred · 09/12/2022 07:08

Thank you.

Also just remembered I bought exploding kittens 2 years ago and I've absolutely no clue how to play it.

There’s always videos of instructions or play throughs on YouTube if you prefer that to written instructions.
exploding kittens is fun.

Littlefidget2 · 09/12/2022 07:14

Throw Throw Burrito!!

ferneytorro · 09/12/2022 07:27

Not a board game but for short attention spans I’d recommend dobble.

MillyMollyManky · 09/12/2022 07:28

Chameleon

Hopemax · 09/12/2022 07:30

Exploding kittens is one of those that becomes clearer as you play it. My 12yo likes it.
Double is fun, silly and quick
Jumanji is a hit here
Stupid Deaths is 12+, you may need to censor some of the questions depends on your family (we pulled out references to prostitution and STDs from memory) but we've played it with kids from about 8/9 up to grandparents. The full board game version is worth the investment instead of just the card version if you do go for it.

Hopemax · 09/12/2022 07:31

*Dobble, not double!

SweepTheHalls · 09/12/2022 07:31

Another vote for Chameleon!

Ihaveabadfeelingaboutthis · 09/12/2022 07:34

I second Dobble. Also Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza and Grabolo. None are board games as such but my dd14 and ds9 love them.

GnomeDePlume · 09/12/2022 07:56

Pit - been playing it since I was a child. It's loud, easy to learn and a good way to liven people up.

whiteroseredrose · 09/12/2022 07:59

Ours actually loved Articulate.

It was a favourite of PIL and even DD at 10 could do it. She and DS could wipe the floor with the rest of us and it delighted them.

Logicalreasoning · 09/12/2022 08:01

Not really a board game, but connect 4 shots is a great game ( not what it sounds like, no alcohol involved...unless you want too...)
hours of great fun...

Whydoiwearsomuchleopardprint · 09/12/2022 08:05

A game called Beat that! It’s a challenge game and my whole family loved it! It’s on Amazon and reviews are really good!

Seymour5 · 09/12/2022 08:20

Herd Mentality. We’ve played it with pre teens to over seventies and enjoyed it.

Stompythedinosaur · 09/12/2022 08:20

Cards Against Humanity Family Edition is funny and good for that age.

pinkpirlie · 09/12/2022 08:32

Camel up
Cash n guns
Just one
Scrawl (but you'd need to moderate the cards before hand as some (many) would be inappropriate for younger children)

Perhaps try asking on Board Game Trading and Chat UK on Facebook too.

ODFOx · 09/12/2022 08:35

5 second rule.
It's funny because the urgency to answer makes you say the most ridiculous things and is perfect to play with that age group. Name 3 things you can catch: a frisbee, a ball,.......a...a...javelin!!

Tirrrrred · 09/12/2022 08:38

We have dibble too and the taco pizza game but I've no clue how any of them work. I'm autistic I've tried YouTube 😖

The Sock Game. Honestly amazing for all ages

Sidge · 09/12/2022 08:44

Inflatable Pass the Pigs is fun.

I love Pass the Bomb.

FuckMyLife2022 · 09/12/2022 09:18

Another vote for Stupid Deaths.

Mine found CAH Family boring (aged 12/10 at the time)

SinnerBoy · 09/12/2022 10:19

Stupid Deaths sounds like one my DD would enjoy.

I'd vote for Dobble, too; and Horrible Histories. They're not exactly hilarious, but good fun.
