@Worriedmum42 i think it’s been answered further up that the gift card is for use in the new year and will be activated and usable then.
I’m not actually sure that I will use the gift card so actually feel like I am out of pocket for the delivery fee I’ve paid, I’m wondering whether to just email them and ask for that back

I emailed them and had no response so put in a PayPal claim and had the money refunded that way. I was going to wait a bit but seeing they replied to someone else upthread (a bit snotty!) about the voucher being for use only in the new year I thought did it. Asked for an update on my other order which they haven’t mentioned that I paid for and no response to that either! Will ponder putting in a claim for that one too.

I’m still unable to check out from Boots website with this bargain set.

If I’m lucky they might be in stock in my local branch - the website says they are, but I’m not relying on that.

I know we are not meant to be talking about smashed grapes anymore but I have had a refund and I did manage to use the vouchers, although no idea when anything will be delivered. Might be a nice surprise in January!!

@VeruccaSalty The London transport museum is great (and indoors!). not discounted but kids go free, adults £21 (or £1 if on universal credit)
However if you can find a code for buyagift or virgin they sell the tickets as an experience.

Dd10 has seen her sacks. She said they usually have more which is true. However this year she only asked for 2 toys. I told her her river island tops were £15-£20 each. Plus a £25 Amazon voucher. She's actually had £100 more than usual. I feel bad as she's only 10 but I'm not sure what wow present I could have got.

Clothing sadly has gone up in price so much

What about a few sweetie/foodbits from b&m or the like? To bulk out the sack?

I think that age is old enough to understand that clothes are expensive

In the past I've gone to Xmas fairs at churches and picked up new gift sets for £1!

@VeruccaSalty you could get the Thames Clipper from The London Eye down to Greenwich. You can then see the Cutty Sark (outside of it for free!) and Greenwich park has a great playground.

Primark was reducing all of their advent calendars this morning ( apart from the bath bomb one that I actually fancied ) to around half price . Both the pre filled so maybe handy stocking fillers , 12 day ones and empty fill your own sort if you are really organised for next year !
SG have emailed to say they have refunded my p & p , and PayPal say they have as well , will have to check and see if I now owe them money 🤦🏻‍♀️
