Yep they both had one last Christmas. Not even touched them. I would have loved one of those.

Maybe a voucher to go for afternoon tea together?

Herefordeals · 09/12/2022 19:41

In relation to smashed grapes, I asked for my delivery fee to be refunded and it was done the following day, no questions asked. Voucher was live now appears to be invalid. Perhaps because of the refund...

gawditswindy · 09/12/2022 19:44

This is a random one: we've got a Melissa and Doug advent tree, the one with all the little pieces but a couple have disappeared. Any idea where we could buy more? They've got them on eBay but they're very pricey.

imnottoofussed · 09/12/2022 19:44

Regarding SG I emailed them yesterday at 12:19 (I replied to the gift card email) about the gift card being invalid and asking them to refund me and cancel the voucher. I got a reply at 12:42 apologising and saying the voucher was to be used in January and confirming that a refund had been processed.

No idea why some of you haven't had a reply.

@Thatsasmashingblouseyouvegoton

Last year I got the smores / hot chocolate sets from BNM sober so much on sweets. They all got left. I'm thinking a board game. Thanks for the suggestions.

I cant remember if that was the first one or not, I know I got one of those robot things that only a few of us got and everyone else was in uproar because they were cancelling all the orders. It was really crappy toy too, my DD never played with it! Was it called gadget the robot??

Oh yes I remember the robot haha. Other memorable items were the cookie jars (did they moo or something or have I imagined that? 🤔) and the ikea goats.

VolcanicProtectorMan · 09/12/2022 20:18

@NickMyLipple I have a 3 week old baby if that counts? I’m mostly a lurker though 😂

BloodyMabel · 09/12/2022 20:27

5poundstuff has kids blanket hoodies in and one adult ‘lightweight’ one. I bought the kids size the first time they had them in the summer and it was lovely, not an oodie though!

I remember those robots, I bought one too. You had to feed it plastic tokens to make it talk I think.

@Pawport I remember the cookie jar year!

@GirlWithTheYellowHat how is that tiny baby 9?!? I remember that year too.

Which was the year someone put all their presents in a black bin bag and they got thrown out? I think of that every year!

Love these threads...
Was it on here that someone recommended the Woodland gift company? My gifts arrived yesterday and were lovely. Beautifully packaged and exactly what I hoped they'd be so thank you!

Soscrewed · 09/12/2022 20:53

9 years ago was my first time too (several name changes later). I do love the spirit here and the ideas for things I've never thought to buy. People think I'm such a great gift chooser but it's all thanks to you.

I always think of the presents in the black bag too. Was it a poster called ihopeyousteponalegopiece or have I misremembered?

Monstermunch67 · 09/12/2022 20:55

Royal Mail didn't deliver my Funko Pop figures from Zavvi, claiming they were never collected. Zavvi said they were dispatched at the end of November, but they'll try and resend 3 of the 4 still in stock. No idea when that will be. Locally there have been multiple misdeliveries reported by both RM and Evri.

Aahhhhhhhh · 09/12/2022 20:56

Does anyone have an o2 priority Disney code?

Puffalicious · 09/12/2022 20:58

user143677433 · 09/12/2022 18:54

You literally saved my hair @Puffalicious

I was 100% on the verge of just shaving it off (currently shoulder length) because it was annoying me so much.

No way?! Really? That's so good- I'm so chuffed for you. It really is completely marvellous stuff. AND a total bargain at £8 ish as it lasts me months. Celebrate your good hair days! 🥳

Puffalicious · 09/12/2022 21:03

ChristmasCwtch · 09/12/2022 18:54

@Puffalicious do I need hair milk shake too? 😂 What does it smell of please?

Is it the spray in the yellow bottle on Amazon? 🐑

Everyone needs hair milk! It is the spray in the yellow bottle. It actually smells of vanilla milkshake, it's divine: when they were younger my DC used to plead for some after swimming as a treat 😆.

I've been using it for 10 years and it's the only thing I use in my hair. It's £13/14 in my salon and usually £15+ on Amazon, so a bargain right now.

Another convert Bluezoo. Yeah!

IWouldBeSuperb · 09/12/2022 21:04

God this thread's dangerous - just caved and bought the hair milk!

(After taking it in and out of my Amazon basket about five times since the original post!)

🤣🤣🤣 Fantastic. But it's a bargain for YOU, you don't do many of those I'll bet, so definitely worth twitching.

Thelifeofawife · 09/12/2022 21:24

Well my SG order that had been despatched (after one cancelled), has been delivered - somewhere in Tyneside apparently! Nowhere near where I live.
I believe this happened to someone else too. Seems very odd indeed

Yalz · 09/12/2022 01:17

Boots says this gift set is worth £140 and is now £41.
However, I’ve repeatedly tried to order it and my order keeps getting cancelled.

According to their system it’s in stock in all my local branches.

The code on the screenshot doesn’t work on that gift set.

If you manage to place an order over £100 XMAS100 gets you 10% off your whole order.

I picked this up from my local Boots today, there were plenty available by the No7 counter. It might be better buying it directly from the shop to ensure that you have it in time for Christmas.

So late to be asking but I need ideas for DBro (40) please. I bought aftershave for his Nov birthday. Usually get a few presents/little stocking as I'm his only family. So far have a bit of Molton Brown and a nice candle. Trouble is he usually buys whatever he wants.
He loves his dogs, Irish whiskey, slightly sweet tooth. Not really a reader or sport lover. Slightly interested in cooking. Please, please help!

@wonderingwhatnext* how about a cineworld cinema box with vouchers for snacks, drinks and x 2 cinema tickets.
